component i (2025)
a series of diptychs, each panel: 400mm x 200mm x 50mm
acrylic glass, aluminium profile, inkjet print on matte photo paper 235gsm, led light, hardware

Incorporating aluminium structures, industrial plastics, and archival materials, component(s) serves as architectural fragment, minimalist sculpture and a repository of cultural debris . component i (2025) is embedded with a screenshot of the original 1983 workshop of Starlight Express. This series of twelve diptychs is a meditation on bodies, images, and technology.
*Starlight Express is a 1984 musical by Andrew Lloyd Webber that weaves an eccentric story of technological obsolescence. In this theatrical production the actors perform on roller skates within an automotive fantasia. Actors perform as vehicles in a starry-eyed narrative where both mythology and faith intertwine.
